Duke's Mayo has been named a finalist for Sports Business Journal's annual Sports Business Awards in the Sponsor of the Year category. Finalists in the category are Pepsi, Verizon, Caesar's Sportsbook, Constellation Brands and DoorDash.
Duke's title sponsored the Duke's Mayo Classic weekend in Charlotte, which kicked off the 2021 college football season and featured two marquee matchups, as well as the Duke's Mayo Bowl. The full season sponsorship activation concluded with the December 30th bowl game and featured an unprecedented degree of brand integration. The bowl became one of the most talked about sporting events of 2021 when it concluded with the traditional victory bath, but with a twist. Game officials dumped mayonnaise on the winning coach out of a cooler designed to look like a jar of Duke's.
